The course duration is equivalent to not less than 36 hours, conducted over approximately three weeks.
A Yoga Volunteer promotes well-being in society, assists in group yoga classes, conducts yoga sessions in parks, supports IDY programs, and participates in Fit India Movement activities.
The syllabus includes yoga theory, history, fundamentals, yogic food principles, health and wellness practices, practical asanas, pranayama, meditation, and preventive health education.
Practical training includes prayer, cleansing practices, loosening exercises, yogasanas (standing, sitting, prone, supine), pranayama, meditation techniques, and yoga nidra.
Candidates must maintain at least 80% attendance in the classes to become eligible for certification.
The certificate is issued after the institution submits the attendance report and confirms successful completion of the program.
